Livery Yard

FULL AND PART LIVERY AVAILABLE

Lower Hatton Farm is a small, friendly yard offering individually tailored livery to suit your needs.  Limited number of livery available, which means you know you are not just a number! Your horse will be cared for on an individual nature, as if he is one of our own!

There is good hacking through Hanchurch Woods and on quiet country lanes, with many bridleways open for use.

We have a large outdoor arena and jumping paddock for use. Lessons and schooling are available from qualified staff.

Post and railed paddocks, with no more than four horses to each paddock.  If your horse needs to be on his own, that can also be arranged. Mares and geldings are separate, so we rarely have any mishaps!  Every horse here is happy with their lot, and if they were not for any reason, we do our utmost to put it right!

We are near three local mounted hunt packs and with good access from the M6, not far from major show venues.

We offer full, part, retirement and ‘preparation for sale’ livery.  We also take horses on for schooling, where availability allows.

Sian Mann qualified as a BHSAI in the 1980’s on a small privately owned yard in Hertfordshire, under the watchful eye of Mrs Sue Featherstone, BHSI. She then worked on the top thoroughbred Stud farm in the Southern Hemisphere, in New Zealand, being responsible for one of the five stallions they had there and preparing the yearlings for the sales.  There were over 500 broodmares accommodated at any one time at the stud. After various other jobs including working on hunting yards, show jumping yards, racing yards and as head girl at a riding school, many of the principles learned over the years are now being offered here, at Lower Hatton.

With an eye for detail and good husbandry, our principles remain the same. The horses welfare is paramount.  We believe that is the best principle in running a yard.  Happy horses mean happy clients!
